Restoring 10 yr old Asphalt Driveway
Task: Improve appearance and stop aggregate loss and oxidisation of existing asphalt driveway
The customer was looking for a solution to restore their driveway. The existing asphalt was showing signs of deterioration in the form of aggregate becoming loose from age, trafficking and heavy moss growth.
Products Used

A two stage process was proposed to the customer
Stage 1:
Remove the moss and apply a licenced biocide treatment to stop any further growth. Allowing 14 days for the treatment to be work effectively.
Stage 2:
Clean the asphalt surface using our super-heated low pressure equipment to safely remove any residual growth and organic matter.
Protect and mask all edgings, steps and surround. Once the surface is fully cleaned and prepared the application process can begin.
Asphalt Seal is then applied using either Spray or Roller at a rate of 2-3m2 per litre. One coat of Asphalt Seal was sufficient fully seal the driveway, filling any small cracks and voids in the surface.
The Outcome is a surface that is protected from water ingress, has all the aggregate fully locked in place and looks like a freshly installed asphalt driveway.
